Today I want to talk about style and self-care, how they are linked together and why they are so important, so important that can change your life.
I always talk about self-care but, why is it so important?
I feel that self care and style are often underestimated by people.
Whoever talks about fashion and style is often pointed out as superficial, we have more important things to care about than talking about style and self-care!

Yes, there are so many important topics to talk about but style is not to be underestimated.
If we talk about confidence instead this is accepted as an important topic by the society but we forget that they are so linked together!
Confidence is not made of only one thing and style and self care are not everything but they play a big part in this game.
With self-care I mean all the little attention you give to yourself during the day from the moisturizer you apply on your body after your shower to the 30 minutes you take every day to do something you like, it can be anything you do for yourself with no other purpose than caring about yourself.
This has the power to change the way you feel, your mood and when this happens you are more productive and motivated.
Taking care of your style is part of self-care, wearing an outfit that makes you smile when you look at yourself in the mirror is very important.
What I mean by style is your personal style, not the latest trend or the style with a specific name or definition but the outfit that makes you feel good and boosts your confidence.
As I said before, confidence is made of many things and style is not everything but it is part of it, when you wear something you like and that speaks about you, you feel more powerful, more confident, you have the bravery to do things you maybe wouldn’t do in another occasion, to face new challenges.
What you wear speaks a lot about yourself, it speaks about the value that you attribute to yourself and the priority level you have in your own life.
You need to be your own priority, no, this is not selfishness, being your own priority should be something normal and only when you take care of yourself first you can take care of others.
Do you ever stop and ask yourself: what do I need today? If there was no judging what would I wear?
This is why I say that style and self care can change your life!
It is a cycle: if you don’t feel good about yourself you tend to wear “boring clothes” that don’t represent you, when you look at the mirror you feel bad about yourself and you take actions against yourself (for example putting your needs at the end of your list) and doing that you feel even worse.
Make that “effort”, wear something that makes you smile when you look at the mirror, when you feel good about yourself you tend to take actions in your favour and this makes you feel even better.
Now, think of doing this daily...how much would your life change?
